Iron Man's demise will be followed in Marvel Studios' Armor Wars, which will take place after the dramatic events of Avengers: Endgame. The future production will focus more on the world's political climate and what happens when Tony Stark's technology is misused.
It's no secret that the budgets for the films and television programmes produced by Marvel Studios differ. Given that Cheadle's character would be interacting with fully formed flying suits, Marvel Studios made a wise decision to devote more resources to this. This is particularly true in light of recent criticism of the long hours that Marvel Studios' VFX artists put in. Given that this is War Machine's first major role, Marvel Studios made a critical creative choice that should allow Armor Wars to continue to develop.
