Netflix has released a new video for The Witcher: Blood Origin, the next Witcher series spinoff set to release on December 25th. The two-minute video builds on the teaser released by the corporation last month. After much of Netflix's previous promotional material for Blood Origin concentrated on Michelle Yeoh's character Scian, the current teaser offers her co-stars a chance to shine, including Sophia Brown and Laurence O'Fuarain. It's probably not a surprise that they're all badasses in their own right.
Blood Origin, set 1,200 years before Geralt and Ciri's journey, aims to provide fans greater insight into the development of the first witcher. You'll want to keep watching the video to the conclusion to get a glimpse of Jaskier (Joey Batey). It seems that everyone's favourite bard will collaborate with Minnie Driver to immortalise Scian's band of elves' adventures. When Driver revealed her involvement with The Witcher series in September, she said that her character will be crucial in "linking Blood Origin's history with The Witcher's future."
The release of Blood Origin coincides with a moment of uncertainty for Netflix's The Witcher. The studio recently revealed that Henry Cavill will not reprise his role as Geralt of Rivia following the third season of the programme. The series will be carried forward by Liam Hemsworth.
