Grass starters are generally the third choice in Pokemon games. It takes a specific sort of person to appreciate the quiet but competent grass-type starts; someone who is more deliberate and tactical. Grass Pokemon starters have a widely broad lineup throughout generations of games, but some are unquestionably superior to others. When I played Pokemon games, I utilised Grass-Type Starter Pokemon, and when I watched the anime, I found myself rooting for the grass-type pokemon, which is why I decided I should build this list.
While it may not be reasonable to compare them to water and fire starters, it is absolutely fair to compare them to each other. Grass beginnings often have a poor name and are disregarded as third alternatives, but there are some starters on our list that can compete with their aquatic and fiery counterparts.

Number 5. Sprigatito

Sprigatito is the most recent addition to the ever-expanding array of Grass-type starters. Its body is coated with light green fur, and its eyes are surrounded by a dark green leaf-like design. Sprigatito, like any feline, requires attention from his handlers. Floragato, a bipedal feline, is Sprigatito's first evolution. Floragato ultimately transforms into Meowscarada, a beautiful creature.
Unfortunately, Meowscarada is a Grass/Dark type with several flaws, rendering it unfit for fight. It does have the Hidden Ability "Protean," however it has been altered in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, making it less useful.

Number 4. Treecko

While Treecko is an excellent beginning, it does not rank higher on the list because of stiff competition. Treecko does not stack up against Mudkip and Torchic in the Hoenn area since they have secondary types in their ultimate evolution but Sceptile does not, ignoring the mega evolution because it is a very special scenario.
Treecko transforms from a little forest Gecko to a giant woodland Gecko. It's hazy and uninteresting to watch. On the surface, Treecko seems to deserve better, but when broken down, Treecko just cannot compete with some of the other grass starters on this list.

Number 3. Chikorita

The Johto region, along with the Kanto area, has a strong argument for being the GOAT region. Chikorita, like other grass starters, is a solid number three among Johto starters. That isn't to say Chikorita isn't good in its own way, but Totodile and Cyndaquil are.
The Chikorita evolution line also receives credit for having a highly unique look that is not based on an animal. Meganium is most closely related to dinosaurs, but that's about all. Meganium also performs an excellent job at embracing nature's beauty and grace without depending primarily on having a huge tank with a shell, as many other grass starts do.

Number 2. Rowlet

In all of the games, there are only two "bird" beginning Pokemon, and both are top-tier Pokemon. Torchic is the other, but Rowlet from the Alola area is the finest grass starter over generations. Rowlet gets a lot of marks for being an attractive owl, but the finest part comes in its ultimate metamorphosis.
Decidueye is a ghost and grass hybrid that is one of the most unique and unusual pairings among the starters. Decidueye is a mix between a large owl and an archer, resulting in a strange bird that is both cool and naughty. Ghost Pokemon are among the greatest in the game, so having a starting transform into one is a dream come true.

The Kanto region's original grass starter. Bulbasaur may be ranked third in Kanto, but he is ranked second among grass starters. Bulbasaur, being a cabbage toad, is one of the greatest. Venusaur, the last evolution of Bulbasaur, is not only the game mascot for both Pokemon Green and Pokemon LeafGreen, but it is also one of the most terrifying and powerful grass Pokemon.
