The long-awaited sequel to 2018's Oscar-winning Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, is drawing closer to release. After years of development and various release dates, the animated blockbuster is currently slated for a summer 2023 release – and the newest look at it will be available shortly. Sony Pictures stated on Monday that the next trailer for Across the Spider-Verse would be released on Tuesday, December 13th.

The teaser will be followed by a discussion on Sony's YouTube page with producers and co-writers Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, as well as Hailee Steinfeld, who plays Spider-Gwen in the film. This will be more than a year after the first teaser trailer for the film was released.
Miles Morales (Shameik Moore) embarks on a journey across the universe alongside Gwen Stacy and a new band of Spider-People to confront a dangerous enemy in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. Oscar Isaac reprises his role as Miguel O'Hara / Spider-Man 2099, while Jake Johnson reprises his role as Peter B. Parker / Spider-Man. Jessica Drew / Spider-Woman, played by Issa Rae, has also joined the cast.
Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers, and Justin K. Thompson directed Across the Spider-Verse, which was written by Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Dave Callaham.
"This is a case where the film was so ambitious that it was attempting to accomplish so many innovative things in its visual style, narrative style, and cinematic style." Miller already addressed the situation to ComicBook.com.
"Every aspect of it... Because the sound mix was likely to be innovative, it required a significant amount of effort. Every version of these films is a cooperation of hundreds of filmmakers working together, and in the greatest versions, people contribute their creative ideas, and the people, the directors, and the producers, get to determine which of the things match the path you're taking."
On June 2, 2023, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will be released. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Part II, the sequel, will be released on March 29, 2024.
