Loki, a Disney Plus original series, depicts the exploits and misadventures of the eponymous character from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In the first season of the programme, an alternative Loki is at the mercy of the Time Variance Authority, a bureaucratic temporal law enforcement agency bent on punishing him for his abuse of the Tessaract unless he helps the organisation fix the time stream and serve some higher good. The series was acclaimed for its performances and for helping to flesh out Loki's character, one of the MCU characters who has altered the most since his debut.
According to Deadline, actress Dickie joined the cast of Loki season 2 with minimal fanfare to alert fans to the inclusion. Dickie is most remembered for her role as crazy widow Lysa Arynn in HBO's wildly popular Game of Thrones series, which generated an equally well-received sequel in House of the Dragon. While nothing is known about the second season of Loki and Dickie's role, in particular, it has been speculated that she would play a villain.
The second season of Loki, starring Tara Strong, Owen Wilson, Sophia Di Martino, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Eugene Cordero, and Rafael Casal, is almost finished. They join Hiddleston and Eugene Cordero from The Good Place, who has been upgraded to series regular for the second season. The second season is directed and executive produced by Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead, who also serve as directors and executive producers with head writer Eric Martin, with Michael Waldron and Tom Hiddleston also contributing to the writing.
Dickie's addition to the ensemble is thrilling for fans, especially since she has shown a skill for portraying a character whom spectators may dislike while yet keeping depth and a level of sympathy in the watching public. Depending on how the show's second season concludes, Dickie may even make a big screen debut since Loki ties in well with Phase FIve's universe idea. However, this might backfire since Marvel Studios may have difficulty incorporating TV characters into movies.
